$135 million 330,000 sf Biotechnology Lab for the University of Colorado, Boulder. This project is the 1st large research complex on the University's East Campus. The projects scope consisted of research labs, Vivarum, controlled environment rooms, collaboration spaces, teaching auditorium, and a new central plant. This project encompasses many energy conservation measures such as exhaust heat recovery units, high efficiency air handling units (Evaporative Coil Sections), high efficiency chillers (VFD Drives), high efficiency boilers (Condensing Boilers), advanced lighting control, advanced HVAC control systems (Phoenix Controls), low flow fume hoods, and green materials. This project achieved LEED Platinum Certification.
