University of Colorado, Boulder CO - Campus Utility System

$73 million Central Plant and Utility Upgrade Project for the University of Colorado, Boulder.  This project is in part a response to a growing campus as well as a step towards the University's long term goal to reduce the campus overall carbon footprint.  The scope of this project consists of the construction of a new 70,000 sf East District Energy Plant, renovation and upgrades to the existing West District Energy Plant, and new piping and electrical infrastructure throughout campus.  In addition, an advanced campus wide SCADA control system is being utilized to control both plants (East & West) to help determine which plant or piece of equipment should be operated to help ensure the highest level of efficiency based on the University's energy demands.  This project is pursuing LEED Gold Certification.

University of Colorado, Boulder CO - Systems Biotechnology Building

$135 million 330,000 sf Biotechnology Lab for the University of Colorado, Boulder.  This project is the 1st large research complex on the University's East Campus.  The projects scope consisted of research labs, Vivarum, controlled environment rooms, collaboration spaces, teaching auditorium, and a new central plant.  This project encompasses many energy conservation measures such as exhaust heat recovery units, high efficiency air handling units (Evaporative Coil Sections), high efficiency chillers (VFD Drives), high efficiency boilers (Condensing Boilers), advanced lighting control, advanced HVAC control systems (Phoenix Controls), low flow fume hoods, and green materials.  This project achieved LEED Platinum Certification.

Center for Disease Control BSL 2 & 3 Labs, Fort Collins Colorado

$14 million 14,000 sf Bio Safety Level 2 and 3 Laboratory for the Center for Disease Control Fort Collins Campus.  The scope of this project consisted of the fit out of the 4th floor shell space with new laboratories (BSL 2 & 3), associated interstitial spaces, mechanical room, and office space. The project included the use of advanced biometric access control, Phoenix valves and control, fume hoods and bulk sterilizers.

Medical Center of Aurora, Aurora, Colorado

$53 million expansion project for the Medical Center of Aurora Hospital Campus.  The project scope consisted of a new 130,000 sf patient tower addition and ICU, expansion of the existing cath lab, construction of a new connector bridge, renovation/upgrades to the existing central utility plant, and a new 538 space free standing parking garage.
